If you want to step up your content game, you want that crisp, clean, elevated look and feel. Look no further. I'm going to share all of my filming tips, no gatekeeping. I film on an iPhone 17 Pro Max. I've seen amazing quality with other phones, so do not fret if you don't have that exact model. In terms of camera settings, I film in 4K at 60 frames per second. Make sure to turn off HDR. This is super important. Always film with your back camera and always wipe off your camera lens before filming. I know it may seem excessive to wipe off your lens before each clip, but it helps. Film itself on the camera app itself, rather than on TikTok or Instagram directly. Avoid filming between preset zoom options. For example, you want to film in 1X, 2X, 4X, 8X rather than 1.8X. When you film in between settings, it lessens the quality. So, try and avoid that. In terms of lighting, prioritize natural lighting. Try and have the light in front of you, not behind you. When filming inside or at home, a mix of natural light and a ring light is always preferred. That's what I'm doing right now. And when it comes to exporting your videos, try and export videos via AirDrop. I edit on my laptop, so I AirDrop all of my clips onto my laptop, edit my video, and then I export on CapCut in the same exact settings that I filmed in. So once again, 4K at 60 frames per second. Then I AirDrop that final video back to my phone and upload directly into TikTok. Hopefully, this was helpful. Please let me know if you have any other questions about my filming video setup.
