HOW I LIGHT & SETUP A YOUTUBE VIDEO KEY LIGHT PLACEMENT This is my main light source. Placed at a 45-degree angle, it creates soft and flattering light while adding depth. KEY LIGHT SETTINGS Going for a warmer look here so I set color temp to 4000 Since this is a smaller softbox, I like to keep my intensity around 40, as any stronger and it will create a harsher look FILL LIGHT This light softens shadows on the opposite side of my subject's face for a more even, polished look. FILL LIGHT SETTINGS Since I'm going for a warmer look I set the temp to 3200K. I like to keep the intensity anywhere between 30-50% depending on the look BACKGROUND PRACTICAL LIGHTING Practical Light (Lamp): Adds warmth Mini LED (Accent Light): Creates separation from the background CAMERA PLACEMENT Since this is a YouTube Video, I have the camera positioned directly at my subject about 6 feet away MY CAMERA I use the Sony FX3 paired with the 24-70 GM II lens. I have the lens set at a focal length of 50mm CAMERA SETTINGS FOR A "CINEMATIC LOOK" I USE THESE SETTINGS • Frame Rate: 24fps for a film-like feel • Shutter Speed: 1/48 (2x frame rate) • ISO: 800 (Native base ISO for my camera) • Aperture: f/2.8 for a blurred background AUDIO SETUP I use the Rode Wireless Pros paired with the lavalier ii mic placed under my subject's shirt MY COMPLETE SETUP Key light Practical Lighting Accent Light Lav Mic Fill light (out of frame) Camera + Lens FINAL LOOK Which part of the setup do you want me to break down in more detail?
