This is how make your brand first brand. This is coming from a creative director and brand strategist on half a dozen and restaurants. And not only how to inform social content you make, but how it's going to inform your entire brand, your identity, color, logo type, everything you do. The goal is to get to a set of pillars, or core topics to talk about. Map those two specific examples in specific formats. For each pillar, so that we have those as mockups through the rest of our branding process, rebranding process to make sure is going to work best in those final formats, that we are going to put our brand, our message through our topics on social media. There's a very simple process going to start by listing the topics your brand has available to it, the things that are relevant enough to talk about, against what is performing best in your audience, what are they going to stop, listen to, or read? Then you're going to look to pair or between the two. Find those topics of yours that are actually going to do. Now, very oftentimes, you have to stretch beyond the obvious on your topics. A good example like to point to on hotels. Every hotel can talk about its property, its bedrooms, its amenities. So much of that and frankly, if your property or one of the most interesting properties, going to get you that broad reach potential. So an example of beyond the obvious and trying to find topics that engage, create or nourish emotional, connection and the audience. And those that can be series, or at the very least that you can create more of into the future without becoming oversaturated or stale. An example of this on my hotel Perle project. We have this of New Orleans series. Gates of New Orleans, Homes of New Orleans, Sunsets of New Orleans, Golf Courses of New Orleans, Gardens of New Orleans, anything New Orleans. It can scale clearly. It has broad reach potential, in my opinion, working for us because New Orleans is so strikingly visually esthetic. And I think it starts to create emotional connection because we're not just talking about ourselves. We are sharing the city genuinely that we love. Another example this Restaurants we love or our restaurants guide series, a little bit reach potential, but still more about our property. Definitely scalable. There's a ton in the city to talk about. That emotional connection. This time we are trying to act as a steward or a guide, giving people actual utility and value. The point of this we're social first is this exercise, you define these topics, as I did on the Hotel Perle before you do your brand identity. So that your logo, your type, your voice, are setting all of that, through the filter of these topic pillars, these frameworks that you have. Meaning you are recreating the format example for each pillar and if it has text on it, you are testing your different type faces through that. You testing your different colors, your graphics. So that you make sure it is going to work when you actually to social that you now know, after setting this strategy, you are going to. That is social first branding.
