DO NOT BECOME YOUR OWN WORST ENEMY This message is for my ladies, my sisters, my girls, whatever you do, do not become your own worst enemy. As somebody who has worked in the beauty industry for over six years, I encounter women at least five days out of the week all day. And a lot of times, I notice women leading with their insecurities. For example, you walk into your appointment, and the first thing you telling me is, "Oh my gosh, don't mind my outfit." Or don't worry about how I look or don't worry about how I look. I'm getting my hair done tomorrow, girl, don't worry about it. It's just like, sis, I'm just trying to make you feel good right now. I'm not even noticing what you're noticing. I'm not tripping off you in that way. You know what I'm saying? And I think that when you enter a room, whether you're going to a beauty service appointment, whether you're going to link up with your friends or your man or your girl, whatever your situation is, do not enter the room with your insecurities. Into the room with confidence. Don't beat yourself up. Do not become one of the haters. You know what I'm saying? You don't want to be your own hater. And it is so easy to do that, especially being a woman in this society. The world got us thinking that we gotta be perfect all the time. And so you think that it's safe for you to acknowledge what you think is wrong with you before someone else does. But let me tell you something, 10 times out of 10, people are not noticing the flaws that you see within yourself. Do not be your own worst critic. And it is so easy to do that. I have been guilty of this. I've shown up to a place like, "Oh my god, girl, I look a hot mess." But you don't gotta be all of that. It don't gotta be, "Oh, my hair looking crazy or my skin looking bad." Or girl, don't mind my outfit. Don't say nothing about yourself if it ain't good. You know what I'm saying? Like, do not be your own worst enemy.
