This new generation of founders are very social media native. Cluely is founded by this kid named Roy Lee, who got kicked out of Columbia for starting this thing called Interview Coder. To market Interview Coder, Roy would post videos of him using the product on interviews and getting the jobs. He got an offer from Amazon, got an offer from Meta, got a ton of offers from big tech companies, and this went extremely viral. One of the interviewers from Amazon saw one of the videos, retracted the offer, and reported him to the school board at Columbia. His mom's business is getting kids into really good colleges like Harvard. He cannot be kicked out of Columbia, he will have nowhere. It looks really bad on him. The only thing he could do is raise a bunch of money to turn it into Cluely. So instead of just cheating on technical interviews, now you can cheat on everything.
