Their other posts in the index, biggest breakout first.
So, I've been keeping a little secret. What started as a hobby this year might actually be becoming a thing. Because a few weeks ago, I said yes to my first commissioned piece. To be honest, I still don't feel entirely confident about being paid for my art, which is something I need to work through. But luckily, the request was from my dear friend Nick, who wanted a large scale abstract artwork for his place. And so I thought, why not turn it into an activity instead? The process of creating art is so personal, but sharing the experience with a friend makes the final artwork even more special. We had no clue how the painting would turn out, but much like life, sometimes the only way you'll find out is if you try. I demonstrated some painting techniques, sponge blending, mixing colors, how to create texture with a palette knife, and this is what we made. I'm so proud of us. What do you think?
