Hook

All right, so I'm not going to hold you. I've been told on multiple occasions to gatekeep this information, but I'm going to share it because it was passed to me by one of my profs in college and it has made me hundreds of thousands of dollars. No cap. Uh, all right, so if you're interviewing, if you're in the midst of an interview process and you're struggling to come up with questions for the actual interviewer, keep on struggling. You got to figure out some questions that you naturally have. Be a curious person. But there is one question that you should always ask, and that is a closing question, especially in a tech sales role. So, the question that I asked, this has been kind of tended to how I talk, so use this as a baseline and then adjust it based off of how you speak or how you feel comfortable delivering the the question. But it goes like this: Based off of everything that we've reviewed today, is there anything that's limiting me from moving to the next step of the interview process? So, and then once you've asked that question, shut the fuck up. Shut the fuck up, don't say anything, wait, you can read their reaction, their their their their um their facial expression, because that can tell you a lot about someone's response or how they're thinking. Uh, but yeah, just wait for them to actually respond to that. So, this question is top tier because it does a couple different things. First things, if you're applying for a closing role, it shows that you actually have the ability to ask for a sale or ask for next steps, any objections to get you to those next steps, okay? That's the most important part. The second part is, when you ask that question, you never see that table fucker on a find out, you you fucked around, now you're going to find out if you got the role or if you didn't. You are very easily going to be able to tell if you crushed that interviewer or if you didn't. Uh, reason why is it's going to catch them off guard and they're probably going to say, oh, hey, listen, like, if they say, oh, like, there's just so much, you didn't get the job. You did not get the job. You hate to break it to you, but you did not get the job. But if they say, oh, no reservations or they do give you maybe a specific one or two things that you could improve or some reservation that they have, that is your opportunity to go to bat and overcome that objection. Right? So, yeah, in summary, shows you have that closing mentality and you're not scared to ask the difficult questions that will ultimately get you what you want and it will give you an instant read on whether or not you got the job. So, again, tend it to your delivery and what makes most sense to you. What I shared works best for me and I hope that helps. Peace.
