So, I started this account because I didn’t see that many engineering leaders on here, especially women. A few of my friends have been lucky enough to find incredible managers who become lifelong mentors. but I haven’t had that experience. It shouldn’t be something that we only get by chance. So maybe I can be that for you on this little corner of the internet. I think that’s the whole motivation of me doing this. If I can help even a handful of you navigate your career in tech, learn how to play the game, then I think that’s a good outcome. I’m not an expert but I have had a wide range of experience. From interning at Microsoft, to being an early engineer at Pinterest, to starting my own company and going through Y Combinator, to being a founding engineer and now an engineering leader at a fast growing startup. I’ve seen the good, the bad, the ugly and everything in between. I’ve worked with incredible talented people. I get a lot of joy from helping people grow their career. So I figured why does that have to be limited to just my team? So, if any of this resonates you know the drill - like, comment, subscribe share this video with someone who you think would really get it. Thanks for following along!
