The day before our home was struck by lightning and went up in flames, we were sitting in church with our nine month old daughter, listening to a sermon about how this world isn’t our forever home. And the heaven that God has prepared for us is more than we can ever dream. The next morning, we lost everything. Our home went up in flames for two hours, leaving Ash and seemingly nothing behind. Our memories from our first baby girl’s 9 months and all the love, laughter, and memories that house holds. We loved our home, we worked very hard for it and God blessed our hard work. We loved our neighborhood and we loved our town. Everything is gone but most importantly, my everything is still here - my husband, my daughter, and our dog. I know one day when Jesus comes back and brings heaven to earth and restores the World, He’ll restore that home perfectly to the way it was that night we went to bed. And we’ll be able to walk it in it’s perfect form one day again. Where we left Mariella’s toys spread out in her playroom, her blanket on her rocking chair, my overnight oats I had just made in the fridge. We will see that home again one day I’m sure. We ask for prayers during this time as God leads our next steps and rebuilds our life. 🙏🏼 #housefire #christiantiktok
