On Monday, our home was struck by lightning which started a fire that ran for 2 hours.

On Monday, our home was struck by lightning which started a fire that ran for 2 hours. Destroying every room in our home. For 2 hours, we stood helpless. Watching our home and everything we had in it burn. The years of hard work for our beautiful home and items we've accumulated over a decade. Gone. It poured rain and there were two hoses pointed on our home but nothing could contain the fire. Every room in our house was destroyed. The fire was coming for our bedroom, where my husband, 10 month old baby, and I sleep. My husband, baby, dog and I came out of this with not even a scratch on our heads. Praise God. Finally the fire stopped, the storm stopped, the aftermath of our home was revealed. Completely decimated. The aftermath was heavy. Seeing our home and flashing back to the rooms & all of the memories we made in it the past year & a half. I could still see my baby taking her first crawls down the hallway, standing up for the first time on mommy's vanity, laying in bed on a Sunday morning and finding out we were having a girl. Everything flashed back and for days we just heard fire alarms playing in our heads and anytime we closed our eyes we'd see our home burning. Everything is gone but most importantly, My everything is still here. My husband, my daughter, and Whiskey. "Look!"
