Me and my friends built an app that went viral and allowed us to quit our jobs. Now we're risking it all by completely changing the idea. Here's the story: About a year ago, we noticed a problem. People are obsessed with saving recipes, restaurants, tutorials, book and film recommendations on TikTok and Instagram, but never end up doing the things they save. So we built something to fix it. Basically your digital journal of all the cool things you see online that you want to do. It goes through your saved TikToks, reels, and links, organizes them in one place, and pulls out things for you to do, like recipes to cook, films to watch, etc. And it blew up. We were very proud of ourselves, until this month when we realized we have actually completely failed. Building a bookmarking app doesn't actually help people do the thing, it just gives them a prettier place to avoid it. So, Albo is changing. Saving was never the problem. Stopping there was.
