It does take a special kind of person. You will fail if failure hurts you too hard. This isn't it's inevitable. You cannot win 100% of the time in marketing. You have to be curious. Who's curious? Like learning new things. Marketing might have to be for you. You have to constantly be learning and absorbing. Third thing, pattern recognition. If you are good at pattern recognition, it might be a career for you. Why? Pattern recognition allows you to see trend lines. It allows you to see connections that other people don't. If you have those three traits, marketing's probably a great career for you.
