Two different mistakes to avoid, and the second is the costly one. My $40,000 investing mistake. So I built a portfolio intelligence tool that caught $40,000 in overlapping ETF exposure that I had no idea about. I don't even know how to code. So I run a venture capital fund, which means I literally analyze opportunities for a living, but I've always wanted to turn that lens onto my own money. Build something that maps my entire portfolio, flags every overlap, tells me exactly what to swap. The kind of thing where you need a developer and a financial analyst to put together. I've never been able to build it. So, I used Perplexity Computer to build it. Here's my current portfolio. Computer works for you. Computer spun up agents in parallel, one pulling the actual fund holdings, one cross-referencing the underlying assets, one building out the dashboard, and assembled the whole thing from scratch. Two funds that I thought were completely different had 88% overlap in their holdings. And it shows me exactly which one to drop based on MER and TFSA efficiency. Computer is how I built this, and once I saw what it could make, I just kept going.
