I read the substack article titled be delusional about your potential believing in impossible versions of yourself might be the only way to become them. And I loved the author's honesty in it. She writes, sometimes I wonder if I must choose. To either become someone great or simply remain myself. I really like her use of words here because you can feel the heaviness of this great dream, how it feels so far away. To choose a self as she is now is so much safer and more certain. Being delusional is about having blind faith. It's believing in something that doesn't exist yet, to venture into the unknown. It's about being a visionary, not seeing things as they are, but how you imagine they could be. The reason many of us get stuck is because we take reality too seriously. We rationalize and we use past evidence to convince ourselves that who we are now can transform. Imagine something different. Believe in yourself beyond the proof. Push the boundaries. Use your mind to make your imagination a reality. Be delusional about your potential.
