So you want that perfect vacation but you don't have perfect money. Well you can still make the trip happen just by buying somebody else's vacation. Sometimes people buy non-refundable hotel stays and then life happens, but they don't want to lose all the money that they put into the trip. So they are willing to sell it to you. There are marketplaces like Roomer, Transfer Travel, Plans Change, and Spare Fare that allow you to buy and sell your vacations. When a person has to cancel their trip, they can list their trip here in an attempt to recoup some of their money so they don't lose everything, and you get extreme discounts. When you buy someone else's vacation, the marketplace is responsible for transferring the reservation from the original buyer's name into yours and they handle all the money. That way you don't feel like you're paying somebody and then having to rely on them to like call Marriott and put the reservation in your name. And if you are a seller, it works the same way just in reverse. And these platforms make money because they charge a percentage fee to the seller. So that way everybody wins. Of course, the company makes money in between, but the buyer, they get a relatively affordable vacation and then the seller, they don't lose everything because they had to cancel. And to be clear, this is not an ad, but I'm just trying to help you save a little money on your next trip. So would you buy someone else's vacation if it meant you could save about 50%? Let me know in the comments.
