Emma Grede is not talking to you

Emma Grede is not talking to you and she never was, okay? Anybody who's offended by her work from home or her motherhood takes were never her audience and she knows that. That is not a bug in her strategy. That is the whole strategy. It's not controversial. Clarity about who you are not for is what makes people who you are for trust you completely. And that requires that you say the hard thing. I went to Wharton, I graduated from Northwestern, I worked at Google and YouTube and all of my friends work in incredibly competitive fields and none of them were up in arms about what Emma Grede has been talking about because they know that it's true because they live it. And the real magic is that they actually felt validated by it. And so Emma Grede's press tour is working because she's telling the truth about what it takes to genuinely run a massive business and that's what makes her different. And it's what makes people like us, truly ambitious women trust her because she knows who she's for and who she's not. So many of the smart, ambitious, high achieving women that I work with personally, they're all so afraid to say something or anything that's going to offend people, particularly people they've worked with in corporate before. But nobody's interesting if they're just playing by the rules and saying the same things that everybody else said in a different font. Getting started with content today or you're stuck, you need to decide who you're not for and fully go all in on who you are for. Don't be stupid.
