Their other posts in the index, biggest breakout first.
We had an employee quit yesterday and I want to vent about it. So basically we set up a telephone booth in Central Park as a Mother's Day activation encouraging people to ask questions that they wish they asked their loved ones before it was too late. Many of the responses questions we got at the booth they were very emotional there were lots of tears which that was the point of the experience showing real life regret of not asking questions in time. This was to promote our new app which is a digital version of our time capsule journal. You know your mom your grandma they can record their life in video, audio, handwriting. And the reason we did this activation is because it is such a taboo topic but it inspired people to start having these conversations in real life. So about an hour into the event I noticed Miranda was gone and our new assistant. And then I my phone was in my back pocket the entire time. So I checked my phone and I saw a text from Miranda saying to call her. I'm trying to keep a very long story short but Miranda noticed that our assistant was visibly upset. And so she pulled her aside and asked her what was wrong. And essentially the role we gave her was too much for her. And aside from it being very triggering to hear all of the questions and responses to the prompts at that activation she had a lot of personal things going on in her life and aside from that activation being very triggering because of all of the questions people were asking every single day we have customers messaging us about their own stories. Like someone gets the keepsake case because they lost their child or lost their parents. Someone gets the time capsule journal because their grandfather was just diagnosed with dementia. We've heard all of it and we get it every single day. And I understand it was a lot for her to have to read those emails, read those DMs, read those messages. She had lost a very close loved one and didn't have the chance to speak with them. It was completely out of her hands. I understand why she couldn't work with us anymore. Basically this is me trying to tell you ask questions now. It doesn't have to be with my products I don't care. Just talk to your family, talk to your loved ones. You need to ask the right questions and talk about things before it's too late. You have no idea what tomorrow will bring and that regret of not asking questions lives with you for the rest of your life. Stories die with people and as a family historian there are things records can never tell you.
