April 8th and we're about to go see our baby for the first time at Cornell. And I think we're low-key freaking out. Yep. We're freaking out. We think I'm nine weeks, but we're obviously going to get a better idea of what I actually am. So let's go find out. Oh good, we can't even get in. Oh, the closed door. First obstacle, getting in the place. Pregnant women, you know the drill. I got to eat or else I'll throw up. First appointment. Check. Check. So far. Oh yeah, he wore his Manchester United jersey to the appointment, of course. Officially eight weeks as parents. Eight weeks. Eight weeks. They're not parents yet. Well. If I hit all these, see how I smile. Here's your dad, boy. Good job, mom.

Its hard to put the emotions we have felt over the last few months into words. Just a few weeks ago we got to hear the strongest little heartbeat ever and now we’re left heartbroken. We’ve taken a few days to process but it all but honestly I don’t think this is something you can ever truly understand. When we found out in early march I was pregnant we were scared, shocked, unsure excited, nervous and every other emotion that falls into that category and it makes me feel guilty. I would change so many things. The one thing I wouldn’t change is sharing the news with our closest friends and family because like my mom says “no matter how many weeks along you are you aren’t any less pregnant” and thank god we did because the love we have received over the last few days after receiving the news that there was no longer a heartbeat is the love that’s been getting us through each day. We couldn’t do it without our village. We’ve never experienced a pain like this, and we are trying to find peace in knowing our time will come but it’s really really hard. What a blessing it was to experience this over the last 10 weeks. To my husband, thank GOD for you. #pregnancyloss #miscarriage #pregnantlife #pregnancyjourney #miscarriageawareness
