Their other posts in the index, biggest breakout first.
So Google just made a bunch of huge announcements at their IO event. Here's everything you need to know in one minute. First Google's launching their own AI smart glasses in partnership with Samsung. If cameras are Gemini integration and look pretty fantastic. And we got Gemini Spark and AI agent that runs through a virtual machine and can do pretty much anything for you, even when you're away from your computer or phone. This is just an AI made to be much more accessible. A big part of Gemini Spark is going to be Daily Brief, which is going to keep an eye on your calendar, messages, news, your emails, give you a super personalized rundown of your day. There's some major updates coming in Google Search, some small visual ones like the search box now expanding if you're writing a longer AI prompt. They're also adding auto prompt complete to help people that are writing prompts. When you make a prompt, Google AI overview is now going to be able to generate its own graphs, diagrams and even interactive widgets. This is huge for visual learners when making really complex prompts. The big one is search agents. Google's search is now getting information agents. Basically you can tell Google Search to keep an eye on something for you, maybe you want to search for rent prices and let you know when they lower. The search agents will keep an eye on that thing for you, so you don't need to Google it every day. It sends you a notification. This is so cool and intuitive. And lastly, the bringing AI coding to the search bar. You can now make your own custom widgets to track certain things. You just type what you want to make in the search bar and it'll spit it out for you. Then we got Gemini Omni. This is basically a video generation model that's intelligent. That means you don't need to tell it the video model exactly what you want to generate and how it should look. Say something as simple as make me a video that shows me how amino acids work. It's going to actually research that and make the video for you instead of you having to tell it what that video looks like. This is realistically probably the biggest thing that came out of IO. We also got Gemini 3.5 Flash. This is basically a new model that's not only really powerful but very token efficient, while still being much less resource intensive than most of the other main models on the market. The Gemini platform itself has been totally redesigned to something called Neural Expressive design. Basically it's going to look prettier and be able to do things like draw arrows, custom diagrams, bold text to help you better understand complex responses. We then got Docs Live, a new way to create and edit Google Docs through AI. This is huge AI accessibility. Basically you could work in Google Docs, edit it, create it all through your voice through AI prompts. And this is huge. Google's coding engine Antigravity 2.0 got an update to 2.0 and can now not only edit code but also do things like generate branding assets. This is sick. CodeMender, which is strictly focused on identifying security flaws and code using AI and fixing them. I'm really curious to see how this plays out in the real world. AI is coming to YouTube with Ask YouTube where it's not only going to help you find specific videos but specific parts in a video. If you need to fix a specific part of your car, and there's a part in a video that shows you where that fix is, it's going to take you right to it. Then major AI e-commerce changes with universal cart where AI is going to be able to help you analyze your cart and help you save money. AI agent payment protocol where an AI agent can actually shop for you and make payments. Then you can better define what it can and can't do and how it can spend your money. So much more about the important stuff. Hope you enjoyed Google IO.
