Here are four things I 3D printed for my house this week. First, this imitation wasp nest, which looks unbelievably real, and I think the wasps agree with me because since we hung it up, we've barely seen any in our backyard. Next, I had some leftover wood from a bookshelf I disassembled, so I found these super heavy-duty 3D printed brackets and made four of them. Then I took some measurements, drilled some holes, and just like that, I had two super heavy-duty shelves in my studio. The wood did have this raw edge on it though, so I printed these little end caps and I think it cleaned it up really nicely. I'm super stoked how this turned out. Next, I had this translucent green filament and I wanted to try printing a lampshade out of it, and it turned out so well. To me, this looks like old vintage glass. I think this thing is going to be a home run when I hang it up next week. Next, I finally fixed the ladder shelf next to my desk. There's supposed to be a bottom shelf here, but the problem is the baseboard is really high, so it interferes. So I went and designed these little stilts to go and raise up the shelf about two inches. After I cleared it all off and pulled it off the wall, you'll see they just kind of slide on the bottom like this. Then we add the bottom shelf and you can see it lifted it off just enough to the ground to clear that baseboard. I know I said four, but I have a bonus. I had some leftover translucent green filament, so I printed this really pretty monstera coaster because I somehow lost mine in my office, and that's everything I printed for my house this week.
