I'm going to teach you how to play a game that I made up that you can play with your friends, and even your friends who don't like games will love it. It always ends in hysterical laughter, and it's super, super simple. It's called Bad Influence. Here's how it works. In the beginning of the game, everybody writes down three to five things on a strip of paper that they don't like, that just inherently suck, like getting a Slack at 10:00 PM or HOAs or having an itchy butt. Like whatever, just write down something that you don't like, or three to five things, put them in a bowl, okay? Now you're going to pick one person to be the scroller. They are the person who is consuming the influencers, and they are the chooser. So they sit there, and then everyone else draws one thing out of the bowl, and they have 30 seconds to convince the scroller that they should purchase the thing they're influencing on. So each person will have 30 seconds to explain why shopping at Costco on a Sunday afternoon or having your plane delayed or having an ingrown toenail is actually amazing. And the scroller picks the winner, and then you move to the next person being the scroller. And on and on, you can keep adding new things to the bowl. I find that the more specific the thing is, the funnier. So if you just say bad weather, like that's not quite as funny as if you say not being able to find a parking spot while you're already late. And then each person, again, they just have 30 seconds to pitch their idea to influence to be a bad influence on the scroller. And that's my game, Bad Influence. And I think you should play it with your friends, I think you should play it with your family, because it's hilarious. You can play with kids of all ages.
