Most people underprepare for interviews because they think they can just be themselves. But if you want to perform well in an interview, you need to be practicing your stories beforehand. This is the exact AI workflow that I use whenever I'm preparing for an interview. First is the company values. Most companies have a list of qualities that they want their employees to exhibit. A quick Google search can help you find the exact qualities that your interviewer is going to be judging you against. Next is your resume and the job description. Once you have all of those things, it's time to build the prompt. Drop all of those items into the chat and tell the AI that you want it to create compelling stories for a behavioral interview. The most important part of the prompt is telling the AI to break it down into the most common interview question categories. These are things like your biggest failure, your biggest win, or time you had to handle difficult feedback. Instruct the AI to output each of the stories mapped to its category. From there, you can copy and paste it to a sticky note on your desktop and have it ready for whenever you're in an interview. Then, whenever you're asked a question, the only thing you need to do is identify the category and share the story that you already have prepared.
