I'm in a ton of credit card debt, what do I do? That is my number one ask question and that is because three years ago we went viral on the internet for having $65,000 of credit card debt. Today we are credit card debt free and we are millionaires. In those three years we buckled down and we figured out what the to do and so now so many people are like, do you have one video that explains it? And this is going to be that video. So let's talk about it. Step number one is going to be stop spending on your credit cards. Probably like duh, and some of you are probably like what? Yes, you have to stop spending on your credit cards to be able to get yourself out of debt. I want you to take a piece of paper or Excel, whatever you're into and write down every single debt that you have. Include the minimum payment, the interest on that debt and also side note, if there is deferred interest on any of those debts, I want you to highlight that and figure out exactly what the minimum payment would be to pay it off by the time that the interest would hit. This is where we're going to build a budget. Now when I say build a budget, I do not mean write down your rent plus your electricity. I want you to pull last month's statement on your credit card, that's money you spent. Write down every single thing you spent money on in the previous month. I want you to categorize each way you spent money in two different categories. It's just going to be at a high level. Is it a housing expense? Is it a kids expense? Is it groceries? Is it also go through each of those items, look deep down inside of yourself, is it a want or a need? The time where you really need to dig deep and be very honest with yourself about what is a difference between a want and a need. Because baby, we're not getting wants when we're in credit card debt. You take your bare minimum need to survive budget and your minimum debt payments and it is higher than your income, sweet sweet girl, we're going to get another job. Second job, we're going to find another job. We're going to sell feet pics on the internet. Just kidding. But you're going to be doing something to bring in more money because you need to be making more than what it takes to survive. One of the requirements for getting out of debt.
