Good evening, Kyle. Let's build an agent that organizes any folder. Let's jump in a Cowork, Claude's no code agent, now focus it on the folder that you like to give access and take action on. The next important step is providing a prompt that identifies the goal, action, and formatting. Organize this folder. ONLY touch the files that are loose at the top level of this folder, nothing else on my computer. Sort every file into clearly named subfolders based on its type: "Documents" for .docx and .md and .txt, "PDFs" for .pdf, "Spreadsheets" for .xlsx and .csv, "Presentations" for .pptx. Show more. I'll start by looking at what's loose at the top level of your folder. Found 57 loose files (plus a few hidden system files like .DS_Store, I'll leave alone). Every category has files, so all 8 folders will be created. Let me set up tracking and sort them. Used 5 tools, loaded tools, ran a command. All done. Your folder went from 57 loose files down to 8 tidy folders. Here's where everything landed: Documents (16), Images (11), Spreadsheets (9), PDFs (8), Misc (5 - the .dmg, .json, .html, .py, and .mp3), Archives (3), Presentations (3), and Video (1). I left four hidden files alone (.DS_Store, .DS_Store_backup, .localized, and a stray Excel lock file) since those aren't really part of the clutter and your computer uses them. Everything else is now sorted by type, and nothing outside this folder was touched. Now Cowork scans my desktop and reads each file and organizes each file into my desired format. Now you went from a messy desktop to one that is fully organized by file type from just the click of a button. You can connect Cowork to any folder on your computer and take action you never thought you could do before. Save this and go create your own desktop agent.
