The school you go to doesn't matter that much if you're studying accounting. And the reason is that Big 4 actually has target schools where they recruit directly from. And these are typically the brand name schools or schools in a large metro area. So those target schools are going to have a little bit more resources for you as an accounting major. They're going to put on more events, they're going to have more meet the firm events, they're going to be able to put you in front of recruiters more often. Whereas a smaller school, they may not have the resources or the connections to get all those events put on at their school. I went to a really small school, 2000 students, but I was still able to attend some neighboring, um, networking events and there were some presentations done at my school where I was able to meet some people at the Big 4 and ultimately I ended up with two Big 4 offers. But I would say in comparison to somebody who went to a big school, my, I had to hustle a little bit more than they did because they could just go to their accounting society that had all those major, um, events going on.
