Reasons why my first home is most likely my forever home
(Let me de-influence you from wanting a bigger house)
1. Our mortgage is affordable. It's well below the percentage that personal finance experts recommend you spend on housing which gives us so much freedom with our money
2. We use every room in this house, everyday. I hate the idea of having rooms that aren't constantly in use. It feels like a waste of space.
3. Out heating and electricity bills are reasonable. Our house is A rated, but also as per previous slide we're not trying to heat a massive house.
4. If we get a bigger mortgage we will either have to work more now or work longer. I would rather have an affordable mortgage and a smaller house to work less.
5. Moving house is literally the most stressful thing a human can do, so I'm going to save myself the stress and stay where I am 🥳
(I mean, never say never, but it's not on the cards for the moment)
