If you get paid weekly or bi-weekly, I have a piece of money advice that will save you thousands of euro every year. I've been doing this since 2015, budgeting my money this way and it is such an easy way to save a lump sum. The piece of advice is to budget your money as if there are four weeks in every month. There are four five-week months in the year, but if you do not take these into account at all, if you budget all of your money like your rent, your mortgage, all of your bills, your like, your needs, all that kind of stuff, as if there are four weeks in every month, you'll be able to save four paychecks every year. I used to do this like, holiday for, basically a whole month of free money you haven't been accounting for. I've been doing it for so long. I don't do it anymore because I never my finances with my husband. But you just pretend that money doesn't exist and you can do whatever you want with it. At the end of the year, you can save for holiday, you can use it to pay off debt. It's such a good way to save without really having to make any effort to do this.
