It may look like I just built myself a cozy campfire, but today we're actually upgrading this E30. This E30 belongs to one of my followers that I'm helping out swap his open 4.10 diff for a limited slip. Guys, on this pesky rubber all you need is a blowtorch and some time. We're gonna let that puppy sit for a minute and catch on fire. What this is doing is melting that rubber, so it basically disintegrates. Sure, there's much smarter and better ways to do this. I don't have a shop, I don't have a hydraulic press and I don't want to drill that out. This is by far the quickest and easiest way, handedly. We're also installing these secondary diff mounts from Garagistic to beef in this thing. We got the poly press in here. Now comes that one. The bushing is completely burned out after about 10 minutes. All that's left is this outer ring that we need to hammer out. New rubber's the little secret for that is freeze it for about an hour. It shrinks by about a millimeter and that's all you need to easily get this in. Four diff in. After about four hours, the diff is finally in. It looks like I went to war and back, but now comes the fun part and see how much better guys it drives.
