SIX ACTIVITIES I'D TELL YOU TO BOOK YOUR FIRST TIME IN IRELAND

Here are six incredible activities that I tell you to book if it was your first time in Ireland. Let's start in the beautiful County Clare. I'm sure you've heard of the Cliffs of Moher and most tourists will book it, but I think the best way to see it is via the Doolin and Aran Ferry. Because as well as seeing these majestic cliffs by boat, which I think is the best viewpoint, you'll also get to check out the Aran Islands. There's nothing quite like the magic on the islands here. Inishmore and Inishere are my top picks for your first visit. Rent bikes, get lost cycling down tiny little roads. Speaking up Irish, soak up true Irish culture. Next, one of the coolest activities I've ever done in Ireland is stargazing with Terra Firma Stargazing in County Mayo. It's one of the best places in the world for stargazing here. You learn local folklore, the constellations, and maybe even shooting stars. This activity finishes in a tiny shed at the top of the mountain here where you'll be mugged and hot chocolate and you'll be listening to some local history from a local Seanchai. Ireland is incredible for surfing and my favourite place to surf is in Strandhill in Sligo with Rebel Surf. Rebel Surf is home to our National Surf Centre. The lessons here are absolutely brilliant and the conditions are typically great. Next, we're heading to a secret tropical island off the coast of West Cork. And that is Garinish Island. Board about from Glengarriff that will take you to these stunning Italian gardens. There's nowhere quite like it in Ireland. It's truly breathtaking. Summer is the best time to go because the gardens will be in full bloom, bursting with colour. If you're foodie like me, a food tour in Ireland is a must. And the best one that I have been with Karen Coakley of Kenmare Food Tours. She'll take you around the gorgeous village of Kenmare where there are loads of stunning and cafes and restaurants to choose from. Of course, she knows the best ones and has a great relationship with all the business owners. So you'll get to chat to them, learn their stories. It's just such a unique experience. Finally, in Dublin, our capital city, I really recommend checking out Silverworks. Here you'll learn the craft of forging your own silver ring. But I actually really recommend they do a class where you can make your own Claddagh ring. I feel it would be a send to come to Ireland and not leave with a Claddagh ring.
