Multiple survivors and first responders felt and heard a second explosion about 10 seconds after the first one. And get this, seismographs picked was energy that picked up that wave that was picked up by seismograph 26 kilometers away. So when the public found out about that, they began to speculate whether there were two different explosions. Officially, said one explosion and it was seismic waves traveling at different velocities. What is interesting is a couple high ranking officials came out against the official story that the fertilizer bomb only that explosive that created all that damage, including this guy, Benton Parton from the Air Force. He argues that a fertilizer bomb outside of the building couldn't cause this much damage and that there must have been explosives inside the building. With physicist, name Cohen, he was known as the father of the neutron bomb, but even he came out and said that it's fertilizer that he doesn't believe it's possible for a fertilizer bomb to do that much damage. Now, another point that theorists point out is there was no ATF employees working at the Murrah building even that day, even though they had offices there. And some people think that that's because they knew that something was going to happen. A lot of the casualties happened after the building started to collapse. And this will give you an idea of where most of the casualties happened. A lot of here, here, here. And many of the survivors were trapped in the rubble for three to four hours before help was able to get them. One of the firefighters said that a victim that he saw had been disfigured and that he didn't know it was a lady until he saw her finger, which had a diamond ring on it and a little bit of skin. But that was all that was left was skeleton and a little bit of brain. And number 12, they ended up catching Timothy two hours later on a separate charge. His getaway car did not have the license plate got pulled over and then they found a gun which wasn't registered so they arrested him for it, not knowing that he had been the one that did the bombing. The FBI found rider axle, which had been blown two blocks away, had the VIN number. So they were able to track down the rental place which he signed to, to basically find him. And number 13, he was given the death penalty and death 2001. But his death was pushed back a couple months because they found that the FBI had released over 3,000 documents relating to the case.
