These students found a way to crack a police device to be impossible to remove. And it made the police look like clowns. It's called a Barnacle and it's basically a parking boot but for your windshield. Instead of being a boot on your tire that prevents you from moving, it's a suction onto your windshield that prevents you from seeing anything. So there's no way you'd be able to drive with this thing on. It's actually suctioned on with 1,000 pounds of force. So if you try to break it off, you would end up cracking your own windshield, which would be completely counterproductive. The only way to get it out is to pay a fine on your phone and then you can type in on the Barnacle to unlock and then you can type in on the Barnacle to unlock. These college students beat the whole thing in under 48 hours. The first kid figured out that if you just run your defroster on your car window for 15 minutes, the suction weakens enough that you could slide a credit card under it and pop the thing right off. Another student realized that he could wrap the entire thing in aluminum foil, which prevented the GPS system from working, which meant that the police would have no way to find where this Barnacle ended up. They would just end up wasting their money. But the final student realized that this device ended up coming with a SIM card that had infinite data. So he just left it on and used it to get completely free internet wherever he went and didn't even have to pay a dime. After this all went viral, they decided not to roll this for more hilarious stories like this.
