All these finance bros love to say just buy stock, buy an E. T. F. But none of them wanna walk you through how to actually do it. I'm talking step by step, click by click. So I'm gonna walk you through the entire process of buying a stock or E. T. F. on Fidelity. Welcome to my how to buy series where I walk you through exactly how to buy an E. T. F. or stock on Fidelity, Vanguard, Charles Schwab, Robin Hood, Cash App, and more. We only have one pre-requirement for this video, which is to have an account with Fidelity. Go on their website. It takes a couple minutes. It's totally free. Let's get started. Once you're logged in, head to the homepage. Next click on your profile picture in the upper right-hand corner, then tap banks and cards. Next, tap linked accounts and banks. Tap the plus icon with add at the bottom. When it asks you how you'd like to transfer the money, click on EFT. Select myself and then click on continue. At the bottom, you have two different options to connect your bank account with. You can either use the Mastercard Data Connect, which it's just logging into your bank account, it automatically connects it for you. Or at the bottom you can just add in your own account and routing numbers. Both are safe and totally easy. Whichever one works for you, choose either of those options. Click On continue and actually go through the process to connecting your bank account. Let's say you've done that process. Now go back to the Fidelity Home page. At the bottom, click on the green transact button, then tap transfer. But remember, we're not buying a stock yet. We are moving money from your bank account to your account inside of Fidelity. Under from, select your bank account and under two select individual. Your individual brokerage account is just your purse filled with money you can take out of and start buying stocks with. Leave the transfer frequency at one time, then enter how much money you like to transfer. You can transfer anything from $5 even up to $1,000. However, I would highly recommend not doing that if this is your first time. Transfer up to 50 bucks or a hundred bucks. At the bottom, tap review. Make sure everything looks all right, then click on submit. Congratulations, you linked your bank account on Fidelity. Check out my next video where I show you exactly how to buy a stock or an ETF on Fidelity.
