Brutally effective beginner kettlebell complex lower body. One kettlebell, 20 minutes, AMRAP. If you're a busy dad trying to get lean, strong, and athletic without spending hours in the gym, this is the type of workout you should be saving. Start each round with 10 swings. This is a hinge, not a squat, snap, squeeze those glutes and let that bell float to shoulder height each rep. You're bulletproofing your posterior chain, building explosive glutes, hamstrings, and conditioning in one movement. After your last rep, bring that bell up to your chest. We're heading into 10 goblet squats. Keep an eye on your grip because over the next three movements, it's going to be severely challenged. Don't forget to breathe. Stay tall, sit deep, drive through the floor. Keep your core tight and take your that full range of motion each rep. Here's where it gets interesting. Keep that bell in the same exact hole, then we're headed directly into 10 reverse lunges, five reps each side. Every time you train legs, you should be doing lunges. In a single rep, building balance, building hip stability, and single leg strength. Every step you take, every stair you climb, every time you pick something up or change directions, you're relying on single leg strength. Now here's where the wheels fall off and it's not for the reasons you think. You've now been holding that bell in the goblet hold for the last 20 reps and we're headed into 10 more reps, which is going to severely challenge your grip strength. We're performing 10 Cossack squats, five each side. This movement is elite because it trains side to side or frontal plane strength. This is an area most people miss. We're also building our hip mobility and becoming more resilient in positions most people never train. We made it to the last movement. And your grip finally finds relief. Drop that bell down, shake your hands out if needed, and then we're headed into 10 kettlebell sumo jump squats. If scaling is needed, just put the bell down into 10 jump squats. And just like that, you've completed one round. Rest As Needed. As Many Rounds As Possible, 20 minutes. Comment The Word "Complex" For A Free Week Of Training.
