If you've got 100 pounds sitting in your bank account doing nothing, this is what you should do with it.

Welcome to the School of Money. Class is in session. Today's lesson, how to invest your first 100 pounds in Trading 212. So when you open your Trading 212 account, you'll have three options to choose from. You'll have a Cash ISA, which is a savings account. You'll have an Invest account, which you can invest and buy stocks in, but you have to pay tax on any profits that you make. And then you have a Stocks and Shares ISA, the goat. You can invest 20,000 pounds a year tax-free, and that 20,000 pounds resets every year. So I would always open a Stocks and Shares ISA if you want to get into investing. Once you choose your account, you'll be notified to verify your identity. Use your passport, your driving license, because you have to be 18 to invest. Once you've been approved, they will prompt you to put your bank account in the app. That means that your bank account and your Trading 212 account are linked, so you can easily put 100 pounds from your bank straight into Trading 212. Now, that doesn't mean you've invested, that just means you've put 100 pounds into your Trading 212 account and it'll be sitting in cash. Once it's in cash, you can then go to the search bar and search up the FTSE All-World or the S&P 500. Two both really great options if you are a beginner at investing. Let's take the FTSE All-World for example. Go to the search bar, type in FTSE All-World and make sure you choose the ACC version. It means accumulating. That means that your dividends get automatically reinvested as and when you earn it. It means that you have a higher growth potential. So make sure you choose the ACC version, it's very important. Once you've chosen the ACC, you click buy. When you click buy, it will ask you how many shares you want to buy. So you want to buy 100 pounds worth of shares. So you type in 100 pounds and then you click review order and that will purchase 100 pounds worth of shares in the FTSE All-World. And that's it. You've now invested your first 100 pounds in Trading 212.
