part 2 to my couch recommendations and today we're focusing on pet and children's friendly couches. These are going to be the type of couches that you want for practicality. Okay, you have family, you have your pets, so they gotta be comfortable, they gotta be practical, they gotta be easy to clean. All of my recommendations, I have personally sat on. One of them I own, one of them my mom owns. Starting off, number one, it's going to be the couch that I currently own. It's the Albany Park Kova Sofa. I have the three-seater with the ottoman in the mocha performance boucle. This couch has served me so well. My dog, my cat, my husband who spills things, it's water resistant. When you spill on it, the water just beads up and rolls off. I have an Australian Shepherd and he sheds a ton. He also does this thing where he like scratches to like fluff up the pillows. The fabric has maintained amazing. I don't think the scratching has affected the fabric literally at all. No rips, no scratches, no marks in the fabric. It's held up incredibly well also with my cat. I haven't seen any wear and tear. One thing that I will say about this couch is you do need to put in a little bit of effort to fluff up the pillows. It's not an everyday thing, but kind of like a weekly reset thing where I just take the pillows and fluff them up again. Next, we have the 7th Avenue sectional, which is the couch that my mom just got and oh my gosh, is this couch gorgeous. This couch is a bit of an investment, but it is so worth it if you can splurge. Now, that one complaint that I had about my couch, the 7th Avenue one, you don't need to do that. The cushions hold their shape so well. They're super comfortable, but they also just hold the structure, all of the covers, not just the seat cushion, not just the back cushions, the entire couch, any fabric can get taken off and put in the wash. If you're one of those people that want a white couch, this is the thing you got to be looking for. 7th Avenue sectional is definitely an investment piece, but if your family is a living room family, pets, kids, grandma, everyone's on the couch every evening, not only is it beautiful, but it's also extremely practical and durable for everyday life. I haven't seen any wear and tear. My favorite would definitely be the Carin. I didn't see this sofa when I was originally looking to buy a couch, but if I would have seen it, I would have gotten that one. I have gotten that one. The world may never know, but I really love that couch. It's such a cool contemporary shape, the soft edges, the curves of it. I love how low profile it is. It doesn't have a seat and back cushion, it's all part of the sofa structure. But yet it's still super, super comfortable. Could literally take a nap on this couch. It is so comfortable. The Bryant Semicircle sectional, I think is super interesting because it's hard to find semicircle couches with pet resistant fabric. And so if you're kind of looking for a semicircle, this might be a really great practical find. And the Sebastian, I just think is also a really beautiful structure. Well, the thing with Joybird that I love is their range of fabrics. They have so many colors to choose from. Many of them are pet friendly fabrics. They have velvet, they have boucle, they have weaves and a lot of really funky colors, which I think when you're going for a more practical couch, sometimes a way that you can funk it up or make it a little bit more design forward is by going with a really interesting color. Anyway, I hope you guys found this helpful. I was on the same exact couch hunt a couple years ago and it took me so long to figure out which couch had the best price for the practical fabric that I wanted, but also a color that I wanted. A couch is not a cheap purchase, it's also a really big visual weight in your space. Take your time, do your research, figure out what your needs are. Do you want it super designed forward? Do you want it more practical? Do you want to look at any of these couches further, they're all going to be linked in my bio. The next video in my couch recommendations is going to be budget couches because I got a good list of those. Much love, I'll see you next time.
