I've been wearing my Oura Ring 5 for a few weeks now and I made a video talking about how my true 7 and a half but I had to size up to an 8 because I live a very active lifestyle and I swell and I got a lot of comments and questions so I'm gonna answer some of those questions starting with could you put the actual ring on the sizer kit? I tried doing it. This is the 8. This is the 7 and a half. It's going to look one to one in a video. So I do have calipers, which is a pretty precise measuring tool. I'm an engineer so I had these in the house. I'm going to take the inside diameter. I'm reading 18.02 and this is plastic, keep in mind. So I would imagine when it comes out of production, there's going to be some variation. I don't think they do many quality checks. If I had to guess. And then the actual ring. So we said 18.02. 18.11. So less than a mil. That's really one to one. If anything, this one is minorly minorly bigger. But you can trust the sizing kit. Definitely get the sizing kit to get your size. Does it fall off in your sleep? Even though it is loose on me, especially during the day when I'm cold. It also spins when I wash my hands. It is annoying, but I am going to keep the 8 because I hated how tight the 7 got in the morning, on long walks, and when I'm warm. It does get very loose at some points during the day when I'm cold. How is the data recording since it's a tad loose? At night it records perfectly and for my understanding, that's the critical data. So I'm confident with the 8 and it actually does what it needs to do for me. However, during the day, especially with the stress response, there are some gaps in my data. I have a friend at work, she said she's had an Oura ring since 2017 and she thought my data looked fine. So I'm going to trust that. I guess let me know if you have consistent data all day long.
