I wish someone had said this to my face. 1️⃣ If a colleague keeps interrupting you, talking over you, or dismissing your ideas in front of others, that is not a personality clash. That is workplace bullying. Name it as one. 2️⃣ A manager who takes credit for your work in front of leadership is not mentoring you. Start making sure your name is attached to everything you produce. 3️⃣ When your idea gets ignored in a meeting and then repeated by someone else ten minutes later, say it out loud. I actually raised that point earlier, I am glad we are aligned on it. 4️⃣ Toxic managers rarely get better. They get comfortable. If yours has been the same for over a year, stop waiting for them to change and start planning your exit. 5️⃣ Office politics are not optional. Refusing to engage does not protect you. It just means other people are making decisions about your career without your input. 6️⃣ Document every instance of unfair treatment. Date, time, what was said, who was present. You may never use it. But having it changes how you carry yourself in that room. 7️⃣ If you are being excluded from meetings that directly affect your work, ask to be included by email so there is a paper trail of the request. 8️⃣ The colleague who is overly friendly on the surface but never advocates for you when it counts is not your ally. Be cordial. Do not confide. 9️⃣ If you are being managed out, they will make you feel like the problem. Start collecting your wins, updating your CV, and talking to people outside the company immediately. 🔟 You do not have to smile through disrespect to seem professional. Addressing it clearly and calmly is the most professional thing you can do. Follow @saltandlightcoaching for more 🤍 #careers #careercoach #jobsearch #careeradvice #jobs
