People don’t usually tell you they’re jealous. They just start acting weird. Here’s what it actually looks like: 1. You post your good news. Everyone reacts except them. Two days later they text you like nothing happened. 2. You bring up something small and good going on in your life during a normal hangout, and they change the subject fast. 3. You mention your partner planned a nice date, and they immediately bring up something their ex never did for them. 4. They’ve never once asked how your side hustle is going. But they DM you asking what course you took. 5. You find out they already told someone else your news before you got the chance to. 6. “I’m happy for you, I just think you’ve changed since all this started.” 7. “Must be nice to have the time for that.” You’ve been waking up early for months to make “the time.” 8. You used to text back in minutes. Now they take half a day to answer. 9. A few months later they’re doing the exact thing you do, styled the same way. Never once said “you inspired this.” 10. You go through something hard, they check on you every day. Things start going well for you, they go quiet. You didn’t do anything wrong. Your growth just made them look at something in themselves they’re not ready to deal with. Not your job to fix that. Who can relate to this? Have you been in a situation like this?
