your manager may be intimidated by you or thinks you're going to take their role and outshine them even though you might have no interest in doing that. Number one is micromanaging. The elephant in the room. They're always over your shoulder, telling you to do this and do that, telling you to suck eggs, although you could do the job with your hands behind your back and a blindfold on. But for some reason, they always show up, pop over your shoulder. Have you done it yet? Yes, I'm doing it. Number two is belittling you. Just talking down to you in front of other people, making it publicly known that you aren't respected by this manager. As the saying goes, never outshine your manager's insecurities, because they don't want you to look better than them. Especially if you're someone who, you know, critical thinking, you work smarter, you leverage things. And then you tell around and say, well, actually, I think we could do it better like this. They will not like you and they will try and crush you in front of other people. Number three is lack of communication. If other team members seem to be finding out about things and you're the only one who's like, well, I didn't know that. And then the manager comes up to you and actually has the cheek to say, why didn't you do that? You didn't tell me? I'm the only one that didn't know that or didn't get invited to the meeting. So how the hell am I meant to know that? You didn't tell me. I'm the only one that didn't know or didn't get invited to the meeting. And then finally, performance reviews. If you are being pulled into the office, although you're good at your job, you are efficient, there are no issues. But for some reason, you are getting pulled into the office, and then they're being put on a PIP. I hate that word. Performance improvement plan. You're gone. But don't worry, because I'm doing a video very soon on constructive dismissal, where you can get a juicy payout by winning a lawsuit against your employer. But look, those are the four signs. Micromanaging, belittling, no communication and performance reviews. I always say it, if a manager is trying to get you on a performance improvement plan, it is the beginning of the end. First written warning, second written warning, underperforming. You're gone. But look, those are the four signs. Micromanaging, belittling, no communication and performance reviews. Experienced this?
