The more Millennials I talk to that have Gen X managers, the more I find them secretly hitting the strategic ceiling that no one's ever talked about, I don't think. This is that ceiling in your career that you hit where they don't promote you even though you're doing better. And they say things like you're not strategic enough or you're not quite at this level enough. There's a maturity we need, something along those lines. It's at this level in your career where you need to work on systems, not hustle hustles. Hustle is what got you where you are, working harder. Here now, it's how many systems can you create that can 10x the work that you do? Can I create a system for training, a system for onboarding, a system for making a rep better? Do I have an approach for how I can take a rep who's really good and have them coach the rest of the team? That sort of thing.
