I almost got arrested for filling my own vending machine. I was servicing one of my machines late in the evening because the location had been completely wiped out. I had the door open, cash in my hand, and boxes of snacks sitting on the floor. Apparently, somebody walking by thought I was robbing it and called the police. A few minutes later, an officer came inside immediately started questioning me. I explained that I own the vending machine, but he kept asking, "Prove it." I showed him the keys, my inventory, my vehicle, pictures of me installing the machine, and even the agreement for the business. What made me mad was the employee working that night knew exactly who I was and still stood there without saying anything. Eventually, the manager confirmed I owned the machine and let me go.
