got reported to the health department… over a bag of chips. I put a vending machine inside a small office building, and everything was going good. People were buying snacks, the machine was clean, and I thought this was going to be an easy location. Then out of nowhere, I get a call saying somebody reported me because my chips were expired. So I rushed over there, opened the machine, and checked every date. And guess what? They weren’t even expired. They were just close to the sell-by date. But here where it gets crazy, I found out the office manager's put their own vending machine in that same building. So instead of just being honest, they tried to get me kicked out by calling the health department. The inspector came, checked everything, and said the machine was clean and legal. But by the time I proved I didn't do anything wrong, the building still canceled my agreement because they said it was too much drama. All that over chips that weren't even expired. The side of vending nobody talks about. It's politics. Fought for the location, pulled a better one. Drop your take in the comments.
