guys I've trained over 1,000 teams now on how to use Microsoft Copilot and this is the one thing that nobody is teaching them. Most people think Copilot is just a chatbot that you throw questions to, kind of like a glorified Google search. It's really not. Let me introduce you to a feature that nobody is talking about: Copilot Agents. These are specialized AI assistants that are built to automate specific tasks inside your business. Think of Copilot like your phone's operating system, agents are like the apps. And agents are so effective because they move AI from being a passive tool that needs a human there prompting it to an active participant in that can literally run workflows and work while you sleep. The agent in the term agentic AI, they generally function across four pillars: understanding, knowledge grounding, action execution, and response and citation. Basically giving you the final result back. What's really cool is that Microsoft actually provides loads of these agents out of the box, but you can also build custom ones depending on your needs. The ready-to-use agents that are natively like Teams, Copilot Chat are the Researcher. This one is great if you need to synthesize large amounts of in-depth information and brainstorm in-depth content. The Analyst. This one transforms spreadsheets into clear insights and visualizations. The Facilitator. I love this one. It sits in on your team's meetings to take notes, log action items and moderate conversations. And finally, the Project Manager. This automates task tracking, status updates, and you can even plan creations in Microsoft Planner. If you want to build your own custom agent, you can do that in something called Microsoft Studio. If you want me to go more into building your own agents then just let me know in the comments. But if you're in a role where you're doing manual task tracking or chasing people for updates, and this is the tool that will take you from being at risk of automation to the person that is running the automations.
