Pass your excel test in an interview

If you are asked in an interview if you're proficient in Excel, you want to hit them with this. You want to use an X lookup, not a V lookup, not index match. I want you to write this X lookup. X lookup. You're going to look up the lookup value here. You're going to use invoice number F7, which is going to connect the two data sets. You're going to go to your second data set and find the invoice number, which is going to be your lookup key. And then what you want to return is state. So this is in column R. Invoice numbers column G. You're just going to select the column R, which is your return array. And then if it's not found, I usually write check in case it comes back with nothing. And then what you want is exact match. And hit enter. You're not done here. You want to drag this down. You want to go to the bottom right of this cell and double click. And then it's going to drag this all the way down.
