THIS HUMANOID ROBOT CAN NOW DO OFFICE WORK WITHOUT A HUMAN CONTROLLING IT

Flexion Robotics just showed a humanoid robot completing a full office task from one simple instruction.
Not a single movement demo.
A full mission.
It had to collect a parcel, move through a building, use stairs, take an elevator, unpack the box and place the items away.

The important part is autonomy.
Flexion says no human operator was controlling the robot behind the scenes.
The robot had to understand the instruction, plan the steps, move through the office and adapt when things did not go perfectly.

The system behind it is called Reflect v1.0.
It acts like the robot's brain.
A vision language model handles the mission, while reinforcement learning trained skills help the robot walk, interact with doors, press elevator buttons, carry boxes and manipulate objects.

This matters because most humanoid demos are still short, scripted or focused on one trick.
Flexion is trying to solve something harder.
Long horizon work, where the robot has to connect many small skills into one useful job..

The homes are packed with sensors and AI.
They can track movement, monitor health, detect emergencies and automate parts of everyday living.
Toyota wants every building to become part of one connected robotic ecosystem.
