China has completed and tested a 582-ton superconducting magnet for its BEST fusion reactor, one of the largest and most important components needed for controlled nuclear fusion. The massive toroidal magnet will confine plasma at temperatures exceeding 100 million°C, bringing China a step closer to its goal of generating electricity from fusion in the next decade. If successful, fusion could provide virtually limitless, carbon-free energy using the same process that powers the Sun. 🎥 Credit: Chinese state media / BEST Fusion Project #china #technology #artificialintelligence #robot #robots
