Humanoid robots are no longer just walking through factories or performing carefully rehearsed demonstrations. They are now being thrown into full-contact fights. This footage comes from URKL, a robot combat event in China where humanoids punch, kick, grapple and attempt to recover after taking heavy impacts inside the ring. The robots are still heavily assisted by human operators, but the real test is the machines themselves: balance, reaction speed, joint strength, durability and the ability to stay standing when another robot is actively trying to knock them down.
