Type 2 diabetes is probably one of the only chronic diseases where you can get diagnosed and never actually be told what the disease is. That happened to me. I was told my blood sugar was high, given medication, and told to come back in a few months. No one explained what was actually happening inside my body. Type 2 diabetes isn’t just high blood sugar. High blood sugar is the symptom. Type 2 diabetes is a carbohydrate processing disease. You lose the ability to properly process carbohydrates because of insulin resistance and progressive beta-cell dysfunction, and if that process continues, it can lead to serious complications. When I say I reversed my Type 2 diabetes, I’m talking about reversing that process. Seven years later, I’m still medication-free. My body is able to process carbohydrates again like I never had Type 2 diabetes because I addressed the root cause, insulin resistance. The sad part is that most people are never taught this. They’re taught to focus on their blood sugar, but they’re never taught why it’s high in the first place. So many people unknowingly allow their Type 2 diabetes to progress because they don’t understand what’s actually driving it. That’s what this page is about. Helping you understand what Type 2 diabetes actually is, what causes it, and the nutrition, resistance training, and lifestyle changes that can improve insulin resistance and restore how your body processes carbohydrates. Type 2 diabetes isn’t reversed through semantics. It’s reversed through actions. If you’re ready to stop guessing and start addressing the underlying problem, follow the instructions in my bio and let’s get to work. #type2diabetes #insulinresistance #reversetype2diabetes #prediabetes #prediabetes
