If I found out I had Type 2 diabetes today, this is the first thing I would stop doing immediately. I would stop eating carbohydrates by themselves. Type 2 diabetes is your body’s reduced ability to properly process carbohydrates because of insulin resistance and for many people, reduced beta cell function plays a role as well. The last thing I would want to do is repeatedly eat carbohydrates by themselves and put even more demand on an already stressed metabolic system. One of the biggest game changers on my journey was changing the order in which I ate my food. ✅ Protein first. ✅ Fiber second. ✅ Healthy fats next. ✅ Carbohydrates last. That one habit helped me better manage my blood sugar, improved my satiety, and became one of the many lifestyle changes I used to reverse my insulin resistance and restore my metabolism. When I was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes in 2017, I didn’t look for one magic food, one supplement, or one shortcut. I rebuilt my lifestyle. Today I take no diabetes medication, have no carbohydrate restrictions, and my body processes carbohydrates like I never had Type 2 diabetes because I reversed my insulin resistance, restored my metabolism, and rebuilt my body’s ability to process carbohydrates. Type 2 diabetes isn’t reversed through semantics. It’s reversed through actions. If you’re ready to stop Type 2 diabetes from progressing, lower your A1C, reverse insulin resistance, restore your metabolism, rebuild your body, and improve how your body processes carbohydrates, the instructions to get my step-by-step 21-Day Reset System are in my bio. #type2diabetes #insulinresistance #prediabetes #reversetype2diabetes #bloodsugar
