There’s a price to winning in business that nobody talks about. I built a business worth 4 billion. I missed breakfasts. School runs. Some parents’ evenings. I never made a conscious decision to sacrifice that time. It just went, one early morning at a time. No regrets though. My kids never saw me leave at 5.30am, but they inherited the work ethic behind it. And now, in their 20s, I’m making up for it. Not with material gifts. With time and experiences. The trade-off is real. What matters is deciding, deliberately, how you pay it back.
