My rent is increasing by $94/month and my health insurance is increasing by $197/month. That’s almost $300 more every month. Yes, I’m complaining—because that’s $300 I won’t be able to invest toward my future. Instead of just accepting it, I’m looking for ways to offset the increase: * Switching from T-Mobile to Mint Mobile to save about $85/month * Cutting subscriptions I barely use * Shopping around for cheaper car insurance * Looking for any other expenses I can reduce Lifestyle inflation get So all in all, my monthly expenses are about to increase by $291. That is crazy. And unfortunately, yes, I'm complaining about it, but I have to come up with a plan to account for damn near $300. So here's my game plan. I'm gonna switch from T-Mobile to Mint Mobile and hopefully that should save me about $85 a month. I'm currently spending $100 on my phone bill. I can get that down to $15 a month. Cancelling subscriptions. So I did cancel two and that's gonna give me $20 extra a month. So we're at $100, okay? We're at $100 so far. And last, I think it's time for me to start shopping around for car insurances to see if I can get cheaper rates. Right now, I pay my car insurance every six months for two cars about $1700. Months. I'm gonna see if that I can get that number closer to $1500. And outside of that, I just won't be able to invest as much like I'm working overtime because investing right now is a priority for me. But this is a low wire.
